Privacy Policy

Scorra Labs LLC (“Scorra”, “we”, “us”) operates scorralabs.com and the Scorra products, including Scorra Events. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to our products unless a product shows its own policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account or register for an event we collect your name, email address, date of birth, the state or region you live in, your gender category and division choices, team names, emergency contact details where an organizer requires them, and the answers to any questions the organizer asks at registration.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s secure form and is never stored on our servers. We receive a confirmation of payment, the last four digits of the card and the card brand so we can show you your receipts and handle refunds.

Information from your use of the products. Scores, results, rankings, check-ins, photos or videos you upload, messages you send through the platform, and the device, browser and log information that every web service records (IP address, pages visited, time of visit, crashes).

Health and fitness data. Where a product connects to Apple Health, WHOOP, Garmin or a similar service, we collect only the data you choose to connect and only after you grant access in that service. Health data is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to rank you against other athletes.

Information from organizers. Organizers may add you to an event, a team or a heat, and may record scores and judging notes about your performance.

How we use it

To run the events you register for: registration, payment, heats, scoring, results and leaderboards.
To show your name, division, team and results on event leaderboards, which are public for the events you compete in.
To send transactional messages: receipts, schedule changes, results and account notices.
To provide support and to resolve payment questions and disputes.
To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations, including age requirements for minors.
To improve the products, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible.

We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link.

Event organizers see the registration details, payments and results for their own events, so they can run them.
Other athletes and the public see leaderboards: your name, division, team and results for the events you enter.
Service providers that work on our behalf and may only use your information to provide their service to us: Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting and content delivery providers, email delivery, crash reporting and analytics.
Legal and safety. We disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of athletes, organizers, Scorra or the public.
Business transfers. If Scorra is acquired or merges, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Minors

Athletes under 18 may register only where the organizer allows it, with a parent or guardian’s consent collected at registration. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we hold information about a child that should be removed, email privacy@scorralabs.com.

Your choices and rights

Access and correction. You can view and update your account details in the product at any time.
Deletion. You can delete your account from the account settings, or by emailing us. We remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records of payments for tax and accounting law, or where results have been published as part of an event’s official record, in which case your name may be replaced with an anonymous entry.
Marketing. Unsubscribe from any marketing email with the link in the message.
Connected health data. Disconnect a service in the product or in that service’s own settings; we delete the connected data within 30 days.
State privacy rights. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Texas and California, may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may appeal a decision we make about a request. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Email privacy@scorralabs.com and we respond within 45 days.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and a privacy-preserving analytics measurement that does not identify you. Our products use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging and regular review. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Where data is stored

Our services run in the United States. If you use them from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US.

Retention

We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations. Published results remain part of the event record as described above.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes we notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
